Timeline

Incorporation typically 3–10 business days. CIDB grading and the COIDA letter of good standing are separate queues that commonly run weeks beyond the company certificate, and both depend on the SARS tax compliance status being clean first.

What this bundle actually does

This is the construction entry stack, and two of its inclusions are decided by regulators rather than by us. COIDA registration with the Compensation Fund is compulsory for any employer; what site access and public works actually ask for is the Letter of Good Standing that follows it. The registration is included here, but the risk evaluation invoice the Fund raises is not — that amount is assessed on your payroll and your industry risk class, so it cannot be quoted in advance. CIDB Grade 1 covers small works in a single category. The grade itself is assessed by the CIDB against financial capacity and works history, so we lodge the application correctly but we cannot grade you into a class you do not qualify for, and naming your category honestly — general building, civils, electrical — avoids being graded into the wrong one. If you build homes, the NHBRC is a further regulator that sits outside all of this.

Best for

A contractor starting out who needs one CIDB category and the compliance documents that public works sites ask for.

Consider instead

All Inclusive Company, if you will bid across two work categories or need an import/export licence as well.
