Timeline
Incorporation typically 3–10 business days. CSD verification runs after the SARS income tax number and tax compliance status are in place, so the profile usually completes some weeks after the company certificate rather than alongside it.
What this bundle actually does
The Central Supplier Database is National Treasury's single register of suppliers to the state. Organs of state are required to source from it, so without a verified CSD profile a quote cannot be accepted no matter how competitive it is. CSD does not take your word for anything: it verifies in the background against CIPC for the company and its directors, and against SARS for tax compliance status. That is why the pieces in this bundle are bought together — a CSD profile submitted before the income tax number and tax clearance exist will simply sit unverified, and mismatched director details between CIPC and SARS are the usual reason a profile stalls. The B-BBEE element here is an EME affidavit, which is what most small bidders are scored on. Construction tenders need more: a CIDB contractor grade is a separate regulator with its own financial and track-record assessment, and it is not included here.
Best for
A supplier who intends to quote for government or SOE work in non-construction categories — services, supply, professional work.
Consider instead
Total Business, if the tenders you are chasing are construction works and will ask for a CIDB grade and a COIDA letter of good standing.
