Set up to run a payroll from the first month

SARS Compliant Company

R1,390Once-off · 9 inclusions · Standard bundle

Pty Ltd registration with PAYE, tax clearance, beneficial ownership, a B-BBEE affidavit and CSD — for a company that will employ staff from the start.

What you will need

Have these ready before you start.

  • 1Director ID documents (certified copies)
  • 2Proof of registered address
  • 3Company name preferences (up to 4)
  • 4Nature of business
  • 5Expected number of employees and payroll start date
  • 6Details of every natural person who owns or controls the company

Timeline

Incorporation typically 3–10 business days. PAYE registration follows the income tax number. Plan for the first EMP201 to be due in the month after registration, whether or not salaries have been paid.

What this bundle actually does

The distinguishing inclusion is PAYE registration. An employer must withhold PAYE from salaries and pay it over to SARS monthly on an EMP201, with UIF and SDL added where the thresholds apply. Register only when you actually intend to employ: a PAYE number creates a monthly filing obligation that does not pause in months you pay nobody, and nil returns still have to be submitted. Note also that the PAYE, UIF and SDL registrations here are the SARS side of the picture. UIF has a separate registration with the Department of Employment and Labour that governs employees' benefit claims, and COIDA — the Compensation Fund cover an employer is obliged to carry — is a different registration again, not included in this bundle.

Best for

A company hiring employees from day one that also wants the tender-facing documents in place.

Consider instead

Tender Company, if you are not employing anyone yet — it is the same compliance base without the monthly PAYE obligation.
