Construction companies in South Africa need specific registrations including CIDB grading, COIDA compliance, and CSD listing. Our Construction Company bundle includes everything you need to bid for government and private projects.

After CIPC incorporation you still cannot bid most public works without a CIDB contractor grade, a Compensation Fund (COIDA) registration or letter of good standing, and a Central Supplier Database (CSD) profile tied to your SARS tax compliance PIN. Grade 1 is the entry grade for small works; higher grades need track record and financials that CIPC cannot invent for you. We file the Pty and the bundle extras — CIDB still assesses your capacity separately. Public bodies will also look for a tax compliance PIN and, for many tenders, a B-BBEE affidavit. NHBRC registration is a separate home-building regulator if you build houses; PSIRA is for security work, not general building. Do not buy a 'construction company' pack expecting CIDB to skip its financial and works-history tests. Name the nature of work honestly on the CIDB application (civil, electrical, general building) so you are not graded into the wrong class.
